OPT/NET to Power CASSINI Hackathon - Press Release
OPT/NET B.V. to Power CASSINI Hackathon Netherlands with ARGUS MONITORED AI - curated EO Data access and processing Platform, developed with support from AWS

OPT/NET has entered into strategic research partnerships by signing Memoranda of Understanding with three leading Ukrainian universities, strengthening collaboration in Artificial Intelligence, Earth Observation, and applied research within European innovation initiatives.
This collaboration aims to integrate advanced IT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies into the academic environment and to introduce solutions funded under the Horizon Europe programme into the educational process from Bachelor to PhD studies. The initiative strengthens the scientific potential of partner universities and boosts OPT/NET’s international collaboration with Ukrainian research institutions.

An official announcement from the Ukrainian State University of Science & Technologies will follow shortly.
Students and researchers will have the opportunity to work with sophisticated geodata analytical tools powered by the GoldenRAM platform. Funded by the European Union under Grant Agreement No. 101138153, GoldenRAM supports Europe’s Critical Raw Materials (CRM) ambitions by providing advanced Earth Observation–based tools to stakeholders across the mining sector, including mining companies, non-governmental organisations, and EU Member States. Learn more about the GoldenRAM project on the project website.
The platform improves cooperation along the CRM value chain and strengthens collaboration between the EU and partner countries. By integrating GoldenRAM capabilities into university programmes, the partnership ensures that Horizon Europe innovations are embedded into research and higher education curricula.
The core innovation of the GoldenRAM platform is based on the AI Knowledge Pack (AIKP) methodology pioneered by OPT/NET. AIKPs provide scalable AI-driven analytical modules designed for complex geospatial and Earth Observation datasets.
Through this partnership, universities will gain:
The development and integration of new AI Knowledge Packs, together with access to a high-performance computing (HPC) platform, will expand research opportunities for both students and faculties. This partnership brings the academic community access to international expertise and state-of-the-art data processing systems.
This strategic collaboration is part of OPT/NET’s structured approach to bridge industry, academia, and EU innovation programmes. By aligning Horizon Europe project implementation with academic research capabilities, the company contributes to:
